The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo
The Q Revo is a fantastic choice if you are seeking a robot mop and vacuum that's priced in the middle. It has a great mopping capability, but it lacks some of the features of its more expensive counterpart.
In tests, it was able to take on dry oats and dust on medium-pile carpet as well as pet hair on hard floors. It does not use LIDAR however, like cheaper models do, to identify your home.
Roomba s9+ from iRobot
The iRobot Roomba S9+ is one of the top robot vacuums. It has a lot of features and impressive cleaning power, including the dirt compartment integrated into the charging base. This robot can also learn your cleaning habits and suggest automatic schedules to provide a hands-free and effortless experience.
The iRobot Home App guides you through the process of setting up. Once the system is setup it can begin cleaning automatically with just one button press. You can select an overall clean that focuses on the removal of large debris such as cereal and rice, or opt for two thorough mappings of your home to ensure your entire home is properly arranged.
This robot vacuum is effective on floors that are unfinished and carpets with a low pile. It is able to pick up pet hair and sucks big objects up. It doesn't lose its suction as quickly as other robot vacuums. It does have a hard time with plush or high-pile carpet, but iRobot promises it will improve in the future with new models.
The S9+ features a new design from iRobot, which concentrates on enhancing edge and corner cleaning. It's the very first Roomba that has an open-fronted, flat-fronted design. The company hopes that this will allow it hug furniture and walls. It's a great improvement over the standard hockey puck shape of the majority of robovacs. However, we found it to be only incrementally better than circular models.
iRobot also claims the S9+ comes with a superior filtering system that stops tiny dust particles and allergens from circulating in your home. It's a nice claim however, we're not convinced it's enough to justify the premium price cost.
Its intelligent navigation system makes use of sensors to remember the layout of your home and vSLAM for mapping the interior of your home. This allows it to steer clear of obstacles, like staircases and other barriers, and to clean up your entire house in the most efficient way possible. The iRobot Home app lets you control the robot and schedule cleaning times, and establish virtual boundary markers, so that it knows to avoid areas that require more attention.
2. Roborock Q Revo
When it is about robots that can combine vacuuming and mopping, the Roborock Q Revo stands out. Its vacuum settings are just as good as those found on higher-end models. And its mopping system is better as its spinning pads clean your floors better than a vibrating pad.
The only issue is the lack of a second brush to allow for deeper cleaning. However, that's not a major issue when you're looking to purchase one of the top robots on the market. The dust tank on the robovac is bigger than most of its competitors. Filling it takes just two or three cycles, even when you have maximum dirt.
For the mopping device, I was awestruck with its ability to remove tough dirt from my floors. Its two lowest mopping modes that are less abrasive than the more powerful ones, produce very little noise, which allows you to work or even watch television without interruption. It will gently bump into furniture or walls and then move away when it encounters one.
What makes the Q Revo apart is that it's designed to run nearly completely autonomously, requiring only a little for human intervention. The robo-vac comes with a multi-function dock that automatically moves physical trash to the bin hidden from view and washes and drys the mop pads, and refills its clean water tank. The app will only alert you if something is wrong, such as the water tank being empty or a cancelled vacuuming session due to an empty bin.
You can also create or merge actual rooms to personalize the way Q Revo treats your home. This feature is helpful if you have different flooring in different areas of your home, or when you have to frequently remove clutter, such as toys, clothes, and books. The robo-vac was also one of the best performers in my test cleaning up debris from carpets and hardwood floors on the first pass. It is able to vacuum up wet spills. I suggest drying them with a towel before sending it in.
3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni
The X2 Omni is a premium robot mop and vacuum combo that has all the features you can need. It has an omni-rotating mop as well as a powerful vacuum that can clean carpets and hard floors. It's similar to the iRobot Roomba S9+. It also has a self-cleaning base station that automatically empties and washes mop pads, keeping them free of germs and ready to use again. It also has a sensor that detects obstacles more accurately, allowing it to avoid falling on furniture or other objects.
The biggest difference over the ECOVACS Deebot X1 is that this version is sleeker and more modern design thanks to Danish firm Jacob Jensen Design (best known for its Bang & Olufsen products). The robot is still large--it measures over two feet in the height and depth and weighs nearly four pounds. However the robot as well as its base are smaller than the Roborock Q Revo or iRobot J7.
This version is more efficient than the X1 since it charges faster and cleans 1,500 square feet in a single charge. Additionally, it comes with a larger dustbin that is more durable to hold more debris which makes it easier to empty when required.
The X2 Omni also has a more intuitive voice assistant and an app that is functional even when you're at home. It also has a smart routing function that allows it to clean specific rooms or areas of your home instead of following a predetermined path.
The Omni Omni is the most effective mopping performance of any robot we've tested, due to its mop pads that rotate to scrub away tough stains and a motor that creates plenty of downward pressure. Its vacuuming capabilities are excellent too and it enhances suction when it senses carpet to ensure it does the job well. It also has a massive battery that can last for weeks between charges, and its mopping mode is as powerful as the ones we've seen on a consumer-grade robot.
4. Dreametech L10s Ultra
The Dreametech L10s Ultra is a premium mop and vacuum robot that comes with a range of features that you don't often see on robots in this price. It has the ability to create detailed floor maps, detect various flooring types and is among the few robots that automatically wash and dry the mop pads. While these features are nice to top robot vacuum have, they also push the L10s Ultra into the luxury category which could make it somewhat more expensive than what some homeowners need.
Designed to look like a contemporary floor cleaner The L10s Ultra is a tall and slim machine with an elegant white finish that's accented by mirror plating and silver elements. The front of the machine is adorned with a large bumper that protects the furniture and vacuum cleaner while moving around your home. Sensors are concealed behind the front panel, which help the L10s Ultra navigate tight corners and avoid obstacles.
On the top of the vacuum, there is a single button that acts as an on/off switch. This button will activate the vacuum. By pressing it again, you can shut it off and send it to its base station. The center of the control panel has the circular menu which allows you to select cleaning modes as well as schedules and preferences. The left and right buttons on the screen will bring up the settings menu of the app where you can modify how the L10s Ultra interacts with your home.
The L10s Ultra, like the iRobot Roomba S9+ or Roborock Q Revo uses a combination LIDAR and cameras-based navigation technology to map out your home. This creates a precise floor plan that allows the robot vacuum and mop with ease and avoid getting stuck in messy areas. The LIDAR also assists the robot vacuum detect and avoid obstacles, which is a nice feature for families with children or pets.
The L10s Ultra is a powerful vacuum cleaner that removes 98.4 percent of debris from our test on hardwood floors and taking out all but stubborn juice stains. The mops are also efficient, clearing 98.4 percent of debris from our wood, tile, and carpet tests. However, it wasn't quite as effective in removing sand from the hard floor and quaker oats on the carpet.
